Vibration analysis certification confirming with ISO 18436-2:

We offer certification that follows ISO and ASNT standards via BINDT and Mobius

RMS Reliability Training Institute is an Accredited/Authorised Training Organisation (ATO) and Accredited/Authorised Examination Centre for both "Mobius Institute" and "The British Institute of NDT conforming to ISO 18436-2:2003 standard. In conjunction with Mobius Institute we also follow ASNT SNT-TC-1A recommended Practice.

Certification is very important as it shows your employer (or client) and your peers that you meet the requirements to perform the difficult task of vibration analysis. Certification is now required by many employers, and a growing list of companies will not use consultants that have not been certified. Some insurance companies will either not provide insurance unless you are certified, or they offer a discount to certified analysts.

How certification works

1. You must have sufficient experience

2. You must have sufficient training

3. You must pass an exam

The ISO 18436-2 standard and the ASNT SNT-TC-1A recommended Practice specifies how much experience you should have, how much training you should have and the topics the training should cover. The standard and Recommended Practice defines how the exam operates: topics examined, number of questions, duration, security procedures and more.

The British Institute of NDT follows certification exams that confirm with ISO 18436-2 standard and Mobius Institute training and certification exam follows both ISO 18436-2 and ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards. We at RMS pride ourselves on the quality of the analyst we help to create through our training, and through our examination process.

Certification and more

During our training classes we us use state-of-the-art animations and simulations. We know that we can teach more during the class than we could many years ago when we only had Power Point slides and basic illustrations.

When people come to RMS Reliability Institute for training it is our number one goal to send them back to their workplace with the knowledge required to properly do their job. As such, we believe we need to cover some topics that are not in the standards. For example, if you take the Category II course, you will learn some topics that appear in the Category III list - because you need to understand time waveform analysis, phase analysis, and enveloping.

In the same way, when an employer sees that a person is certified, we want them to know for sure that that person is capable of doing their job - that they have the knowledge and practical skills to do their job. So our training focuses on both meeting the certification standard and exam requirements, also places an emphasis on practical ability - the ability to apply the knowledge gained, and the ability to diagnose machine faults.

Why RMS Reliability Institute Training

Our goal is to help you learn, no matter what your background or experience level, we will do our very best to help you understand the materials, pass the certification exams and progress in your career.

Our courses are taught using State-of-the-art Animations and Simulators

One of the things that separates RMS Reliability Institute from others is our use of state-of-the-art-training materials. Our vibrant animations make sometimes boring topics quite interesting. Because you will be engaged by the training materials, you will learn and retain more of the concepts.

Our instructors are professionals with years of practical experience

No matter how good the training materials, nothing can replace a good teacher. Our instructors have years of practical field experience. They understand your work environment and can help you become more successful in your career. Our trainers are experts in their fields because they passionate about the subject matter and that makes learning from them interesting. Because you will not be bored, you will learn more.

Our offered training products help you continue learning

Learning doesn't stop just because the course is over and you have received a certification. Learning is an on-going process that continues throughout your career. The iLearnInteractive series of products we offer are intended as an on-going reference source to help you continue learning once the course is over. The materials provide unlimited access to simulators, animations and presentations as well as a searchable glossary to help you find the information you need.

Mobius Institute vibration certification follows the ISO 18436-2:2003 standard, and the ASNT SNT-TC-1A Recommended Practice.  You do not need to take the Mobius Institute vibration training in order to become certified.  We have centers where you can become certified in 40 countries, and that number is growing.  We can also use an "invigilator" so that you can become certified where you work.
